With more than 40 years of experience forging multisector partnerships and with expertise in science, economics, technology, advocacy, and dozens of other specialties, PATH develops and scales up innovative solutions to the world’s most pressing heath challenges PATH will implement a pilot project “Young Hearts, Strong Futures” to “improve the outcomes of Structural Heart Diseases (SHDs)” by health system driven innovative tools to improve school-based screenings and community interventions. Project’s goal is early intervention to reduce childhood cardiac morbidities, mortalities, & improve children's health The project will District Coordinator on third party payroll (Randstad) in Lucknow, Uttar Pradesh for supporting the implementation activities under the project and coordinating the field level project activities” S/he will be required to coordinate with Chief Medical officer (CMO) and other relevant officials at district level The specific scope of work would include the following activities:
  • Work in close coordination with CMO and other relevant officials at district level
  • To ensure implementation of the project activities in their assigned geography
  • Will coordinate with district officials and partners for various activities like:
1. Coordination with district/block officials in establishing Rheumatic Heart Disease (RHD) core committee at the district level (district task force/district level review mechanisms) 2. Ensure organizing quality orientation/trainings for frontline workers and Rashtriya Bal Suraksha Karyakram (RBSK) team personnel 3. Compilation and analysis of RHD case data (Block wise line-list) and generating weekly progress reports for sharing with the reporting manager 4. Collaborate and support district/block officials in planning and implementation of community awareness campaigns for RHD 5. Ensure timely referral of suspected cases of RHD 6. Ensure proper follow up mechanisms in place for follow-up of referred cases 7. Coordination with District officials and Sanjay Gandhi Post Graduate Institute of Medical Sciences (SGPGI) for smooth referrals 8. Conducts home visits before and after the surgical intervention to counsel caregivers 9. Any other work assigned as per project requirement Qualifications Essential
  • Graduate in Public Health/Social Work/Development Studies
  • 3-5 year work experience in public health programs
Desirable:
  • Post-Graduate in Public Health/Social Work/Development Studies
Skills & Abilities
  • Proficient in computers with knowledge of MS-Office applications viz. Excel; Word and PowerPoint and internet is essential
  • Excellent knowledge of written and spoken Hindi and English is essential. Good working knowledge of the local language of the duty station, will be an asset
  • Working experience of managing and coordinating with government stakeholders
  • Strong negotiating and communication skills
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks, set priorities, work independently, and maintain a high level of accountability
  • Ability to work as part of a team
