What does the Data Modeler do?.
As an ETL Data Modeler, you will be responsible for modelling current and new data, working with key business representatives, data owners, application designers, and data architects.
- Your typical day will involve working with any of ETL tools Talend / Informatica or any other ETL tools to develop and maintain data models for our clients.
- Translating business needs into long-term, scalable data models that meet organizational goals.
- Developing and applying physical data models, as well as optimizing existing metadata and data models.
- Ensure that data models comply with relevant data protection regulations (e.g, GDPR, HIPAA) and company security policies.
- Working closely with development teams to create conceptual data models and define data flows.
- Reviewing system changes to ensure cross-system compatibility and adherence to data governance standards.
- Continuously evaluating data systems for discrepancies, inefficiencies, and opportunities for improvement.
- Bachelor's or master's degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- 3 years of hands-on experience with physical, relational and ETL data modelling.
- Experience with data integration tools and ETL processes, including Talend or Informatica.
- Deep expertise in data modelling, database design, and data governance.
- Exceptional problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Candidates with an Epic EHR background are highly desired.
- Regular day or afternoon shifts (as per business requirements).
- Ability to commute/relocate to Coimbatore.
- This position involves working from the office only.
- It may require occasional extension of work or weekend work to accommodate the client requests.
