Job Overview

The Project Associate will be responsible for conducting and optimizing experiments using chemical methodologies for water and wastewater treatment processes. This role requires collaboration with R&D leads, execution of precise experimental protocols, data analysis, and report generation. The ideal candidate will be adaptable and enthusiastic about working on pilot and field-scale studies to support innovative solutions in water treatment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct and optimize experiments based on well-defined research methodologies for process development in water and wastewater treatment.
  • Coordinate with vendors to identify and implement best practices and advanced methodologies.
  • Analyse and interpret experimental data, prepare detailed reports, and present findings.
  • Stay updated with emerging technologies and processes in the water and wastewater domain.
  • Support pilot and field-scale studies, including on-site project execution when required.
  • Ensure proper maintenance, monitoring, and operation of reactors and experimental systems.
  • Evaluate consumable requirements, ensure chemical safety, and proactively identify improvements in experimental workflows.
  • Develop documentation for processes and communicate effectively with team members.

Key Qualifications

  • Master’s degree in chemistry, Environmental Science, Biochemistry, Biotechnology, or a related field.
  • 3 to 5 years of experience in chemical process research or related roles.
  • Strong skills in experimentation, data analysis, and interpretation.
  • Knowledge of processes such as adsorption, advanced oxidation, and other physicochemical/biological techniques in water and wastewater treatment.
  • Hands-on experience with chemical handling and laboratory safety protocols.
  • Excellent teamwork, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to proactively assess consumable requirements and contribute to continuous process improvement.
  • Willingness to travel for pilot and field-scale studies as needed.
