Job Description

Position Title: Area Sales Manager - Indore

Department BDI Surgery

Reports To: Branch Manager – West

Location: Indore

Key Responsibilities

ü Cover institution and customers (doctors, nurses, paramedics, and distributors) as defined

ü Promote product range as per norms.

ü Build and maintain relationships with all customers through an effective contact program with users, influencers and procurement agents

ü Getting products tried & evaluated in Operation rooms and ensuring proper usage of devices.

ü Gather market intelligence on competitor activities, trends & practices and communicate them in a timely manner to Sales Manager & Marketing Manager.

ü Organize Market Development Activities with Surgeons through OT Workshops, RTMs, CMEs etc

ü Identify tender/rate contract opportunities on institutions under coverage and ensure timely communication to sales manager- Hospital Sales and make submissions or same in a timely and proper manner.

ü Grow sales in area of influence by selecting and developing approved new accounts. Broadening the product range/volume in existing accounts.

ü Achieve targets – quantity and value for the area of influence.

ü Organize, conduct in service workshops and train users on BD products.

ü Manage distribution channel (including Direct Selling Agents / Distributors) to ensure timely delivery of products at optimal costs

ü Ensure that collections are made as per agreed norms from institutions where BD makes direct supplies.

ü Coordinate on a regular basis with other Medical System members on information sharing and communicating the same to relevant members in BD.

ü Iü Achieve targets – quantity and value for the area of influence.

ü Organize, conduct in service workshops and train users on BD products.

ü Manage distribution channel (including Direct Selling Agents / Distributors) to ensure timely delivery of products at optimal costs

ü Ensure that collections are made as per agreed norms from institutions where BD makes direct supplies.

ü Ensure compliance to BD’s policies including Corporate & Reporting Compliance

ü Be aware of all the relevant compliances in the respective region

ü Adhere to all the BD Code of Conduct and applicable guidelines

ü All other tasks as assigned by Regional Manager – East

Job Qualifications

  • Minimum bachelor’s degree in science/pharmacy
  • Master’s degree in marketing will be an advantage.
