Junior Software Engineer – Barsys X

Location: New Delhi, India

Type: Full-time

Project Brief – What is Barsys X?

Barsys X is our most advanced project yet — an intelligent robotic system designed to bring bar-quality cocktails to every home. The system features smart sensors, automated recipe execution, embedded firmware, cloud integrations, and personalization features — all running on custom software built from the ground up.

We are recruiting the brightest minds from top engineering universities across India to join the Barsys X journey and help build the next big thing in consumer robotics.

Why This Role Is for You

As a Junior Software Engineer, you will join the core team building the Barsys X platform. This is a hands-on role ideal for someone who loves working at the intersection of software and hardware. You’ll get to contribute to real product code, test robotic systems, and see your work come to life — literally.

This is a launchpad for fast learners and passionate builders from top schools who want to work on real-world robotics systems, not just apps.

Key Responsibilities

  • Write and test Python code for embedded systems, automation, and calibration
  • Assist in bringing up new hardware and sensors for Barsys X
  • Build and improve internal tools for logging, monitoring, and device control
  • Collaborate with senior engineers to understand hardware control loops and real-time programming
  • Help create simulation environments to test before real-world deployment
  • Document your work and participate in code reviews

What We’re Looking For

  • Strong programming skills in Python (C/C++ a bonus)
  • Solid understanding of computer science fundamentals (data structures, algorithms)
  • Curiosity about hardware-software systems, sensors, motors, or embedded programming
  • Familiarity with Linux, Git, and basic debugging
  • Recent graduate (or final-year student) from a top engineering school (IIT, NIT, BITS, IIIT, etc.)
  • Strong problem-solving mindset and eagerness to learn from a fast-paced team

Bonus Points For

  • Projects involving Raspberry Pi, Arduino, or other embedded systems
  • Experience with robotics competitions, hackathons, or open-source contributions
  • Passion for building things that move, automate, or interact physically
  • Exposure to AI, LLMs, or computer vision is a plus but not required

What You’ll Get

  • Mentorship from senior engineers working on global hardware products
  • Real exposure to how consumer robotics products are built from the ground up
  • A team that cares deeply about engineering, design, and impact
  • Competitive salary and benefits
  • Growth path into core engineering or system architect roles
