Job Description

Major Responsibilities:

The Inventory Analyst serves a critical role in driving optimal level of Industrial Material Inventory in Plant & ensuring compliance to FM Guidelines

Generate Item, open order & transaction reports weekly for all IMG Plants

Review & Monitor IM Procurement with all plants SPOCs and validate if the procurements are done against right demand

Challenge any excess procurement with data & ensure orders are cancelled/postponed in line consumption

Perform Material Control Analyst role by approving any new part requests by validating Key input variables

Supply chain follow up on Open orders for receipt and accounting

Support in validating all high value orders for potential avoidance and support in Inventory reduction initiatives

Work with cross functional team - VOME & Plant MP&L/Shops in validating all new program purchases for potential excess orders and support in ensuring only the right requirements are placed

Work with Plants, GME & Purchasing in identifying Inventory reduction opportunities including Re-sale of unused spares, 3D Printing feasibility, Reuse of spares in alternate plants, etc..

Review periodic high aging inventory for suitable optimization and stock diversion

Ensure Monthly Governance of all Input variables and report out any variance

Engage all Plant shop Managers & Plant finance teams in developing IM Inventory & Obsolescence Budget / Business plan

Ensure Monthly forecasting is done for all plants and support with necessary variance explanations

Deliver Inventory actuals In line with Budget & support with any efficiencies that may be tasked

Develop tools that tracks and monitors Industrial Material consumption/ demand trends and suggest procurement strategies that enables plants to operate Just in time

Responsibilities

  • Plants to operate with optimal level of Inventory for Machine spares & Consumables
  • Drive for collaborative working between plants on Purchase & reuse of IM Spares
  • Predict Demand/consumption trends and advice plants on Ordering methodologies


Work with Plant Operations and Finance teams to Forecast Inventory Trends and support in forecasting & Budgeting process

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree.
  • 6+ years of experience in Plant Manufacturing operation / MP&L function
  • Experience in Purchasing, Ordering & procurement of Industrial material spares
  • Daya Analytical skill - Data crunching, Interpretation & Analysis
  • System tools - Using Datamart, GDIA, Microsoft Office tools, PEGA, Programming tools, etc..
  • Understand Basic Accounting standards
  • Experience with Manufacturing shop floor activities
  • Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with a proven ability to interact effectively
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • A proactive approach to identifying and resolving potential issues.
