Purpose of the position :
- The Business Manager is a core member of the Interface & Performance team in ROA. The incumbent will be based in India, responsible for business in India sub-continent.
- The incumbent develops and implements the regional strategy in the respective market segments and ensures accelerated and sustained business growth to the Product Lines, he/she is responsible for.
- In addition, he also needs to forecast, plan, arrange and manage stock in India warehouse.
- Aligns the business direction and trends regionally.
- Advises the product line manager regarding market strategy.
- Validates commercial market size estimations.
- Identifies growth opportunities and supports distributors in developing existing and new business.
- Has an overarching role in developing new businesses, value chain analysis and market trends.
- Proposes ideas for improving own market position and exploitation of potential.
- Develops and maintains a project pipeline.
- Understands customer needs, trends and analyzing competitor landscape to establish and execute regional objectives in each market segment.
- Manages and trains distributors to ensure aligned business strategy and help them to grow the business.
- Prioritizes opportunities in each segment identified by the team.
- Works with the regional function, global product line to create and lead customers’ projects.
- Maintains relationships with customers to ensure continued growth.
- Optimizes network contacts with regional customers and within the organization.
- Maintains and builds up a highly motivated distributors.
- Channel Management – selecting the right distributers and business facilitators for the different product lines.
- Customer and key account management.
- Chemical background with 5-10 years’ experience in chemical sales within market of compounding and/or adhesives and/or release coatings
- Experience in planning and managing inventories
- Sales work experience in managing distributors
- Fluency in spoken and written English
- Open, honest & positive attitude, self-motivated with passion in meeting business objectives/targets
- Self-starter, able to work independently with minimum supervision
