Responsibilities
- Collaborate with stakeholders to gather, analyse, and document business requirements.
- Develop functional specifications and system design documents for insurance-related projects.
- Work closely with development teams to ensure technical solutions align with business objectives.
- Conduct gap analysis and propose solutions to improve business processes and systems.
- Facilitate workshops and meetings to elicit requirements and validate solutions.
- Perform data analysis and generate reports to support decision-making processes.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and industry standards.
- Provide support during the implementation and testing phases of projects.
- Act as a liaison between business users and technical teams to resolve issues and ensure successful project delivery.
- Provide expert advice and consultancy on insurance products, processes, and industry best practices.
- Analyze and document business requirements for insurance projects, ensuring alignment with business goals.
- Develop and implement strategies to optimize the insurance value chain, including policy issuance, underwriting, claims processing, and renewals.
- Conduct market research and analysis to stay updated on industry trends, regulatory changes, and competitive landscape.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and implement innovative insurance solutions.
- Familiarity with insurance regulations and compliance requirements in the Indian market.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex data sets.

- Required Skills and Qualifications:
- Master’s in business administration, Information Technology, or a related field.
- 3-5 years of experience as a Business Analyst in the insurance domain, specifically within the Indian market.
- Strong understanding of insurance products, processes, and regulations in India.
- Proficiency in business analysis techniques, such as requirements gathering, process modelling, and gap analysis.
- Strong understanding of insurance products, including term life, whole life, universal life, endowment plans, ULIPs, and general insurance products.
- In-depth knowledge of the insurance value chain, including product development, policy issuance, underwriting, claims processing, and renewals.
- Technical skills in areas such as SQL, data analysis, and system integration.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to interact with stakeholders at all levels.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Familiarity with insurance regulations and compliance requirements in the Indian market.
- Knowledge of project management methodologies and tools is a plus.
BA Insurance

- Experience with project management methodologies, such as Agile or Scrum.
- Knowledge of insurance software platforms and technologies.
- Certification in Insurance (e.g., Licentiate, Associate, Fellowship from Insurance Institute of India) or related fields.
- Certification in Business Analysis (e.g., CBAP, CCBA) or related fields would be a plus
