Job Description & Summary: We are seeking a skilled Business Analyst with a strong techno-functional background and in-depth knowledge of the Indian insurance market. The ideal candidate will have 3-5 years of experience in business analysis, with a focus on insurance domain projects. This role requires a blend of technical and functional expertise to bridge the gap between business needs and technical solutions.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with stakeholders to gather, analyse, and document business requirements.
  • Develop functional specifications and system design documents for insurance-related projects.
  • Work closely with development teams to ensure technical solutions align with business objectives.
  • Conduct gap analysis and propose solutions to improve business processes and systems.
  • Facilitate workshops and meetings to elicit requirements and validate solutions.
  • Perform data analysis and generate reports to support decision-making processes.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and industry standards.
  • Provide support during the implementation and testing phases of projects.
  • Act as a liaison between business users and technical teams to resolve issues and ensure successful project delivery.
  • Provide expert advice and consultancy on insurance products, processes, and industry best practices.
  • Analyze and document business requirements for insurance projects, ensuring alignment with business goals.
  • Develop and implement strategies to optimize the insurance value chain, including policy issuance, underwriting, claims processing, and renewals.
  • Conduct market research and analysis to stay updated on industry trends, regulatory changes, and competitive landscape.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and implement innovative insurance solutions.
  • Familiarity with insurance regulations and compliance requirements in the Indian market.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex data sets.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams and clients.
  • Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Master’s in business administration, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • 3-5 years of experience as a Business Analyst in the insurance domain, specifically within the Indian market.
  • Strong understanding of insurance products, processes, and regulations in India.
  • Proficiency in business analysis techniques, such as requirements gathering, process modelling, and gap analysis.
  • Strong understanding of insurance products, including term life, whole life, universal life, endowment plans, ULIPs, and general insurance products.
  • In-depth knowledge of the insurance value chain, including product development, policy issuance, underwriting, claims processing, and renewals.
  • Technical skills in areas such as SQL, data analysis, and system integration.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to interact with stakeholders at all levels.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Familiarity with insurance regulations and compliance requirements in the Indian market.
  • Knowledge of project management methodologies and tools is a plus.
