Role description
The role of a Sales Leader in the education vertical is both challenging and rewarding. It involves leading sales strategies, managing teams, and driving revenue growth in the state and central government space education and skilling sector. Here are some key responsibilities and qualifications often associated with this role:
Responsibilities:
•Sales Strategy Development: Crafting and executing scalable sales strategies tailored to the education market.
•New Business Acquisition:
Identifying a nd securing new business opportunities, particularly within state governments, to expand the company's market presence.
Building P roposals for state and central government
Managing all aspects commercials with state and central government.
•Team Leadership: Building and mentoring high-performing sales teams to achieve revenue targets.
•Building new value propositions: constantly innovate product as per the customer requirement in education
•Sales governance process – establishing and managing sales governance process
•Market Development: Identifying new opportunities, building partnerships, and representing the company at industry events.
•Revenue Management: Meeting sales targets, forecasting revenue, managing budgets, and reducing project costs.
•Product Advocacy: Collaborating with product teams to align offerings with market needs and training stakeholders on product usage.
•Communication and Negotiation: Demonstrating strong communication and negotiation skills, especially when dealing with government entities.
•Project ex ecution and Vendor Negotiation support: Ensure the timely execution of the sales project and Negotiating with vendors to optimize savings and improve profitability.
Qualifications:
•Experience of working with state and central government in India
•Extensive e xperience in sales, particularly in the education AND SKILLING sector.
•Proven track record of exceeding sales targets and managing complex sales cycles.
•Excellent communication, negotiation, and leadership skills.
•Familiarity with CRM tools and a deep unders tanding of the education system.
•Qualification: BE (Preferably with MBA)
•Exp required – 10-15yrs
•Work location - Pune / Bangalore
