Job Overview

The Business Analyst will work closely with stakeholders to analyze business needs, develop solutions, and facilitate the implementation of strategic initiatives. This role is responsible for creating the business and/or functional requirements necessary for technology solutions that meet customer needs, expected delivery dates, and exceptional quality standards

Key Responsibilities

  • Requirements Gathering:
    • Engage with stakeholders to understand their needs and business objectives.
    • Document and analyze business requirements, translate them into business requirements documents (BRDs) and user stories.
    • Participate in vendor discovery/gap analysis and detailed requirement development efforts.
  • Data Analysis:
    • Collect and analyze data to identify trends, patterns, and insights.
    • Create and manage dashboards, reports, and presentations to support decision-making.
    • Identify the common causes of the defects, prioritize them and systematically remove them so that they do not reoccur in further development work.
  • Solution Design:
    • Collaborate with technical teams to design solutions that meet business requirements.
    • Develop process maps, wireframes, and prototypes to communicate design concepts.
    • Assists team in planning activities, ongoing maintenance activities, testing, releases, and production validation
    • Stakeholder Communication:
      • Interact with business stakeholders to understand their needs and objectives related to new business requirements and enhancement requests
      • Facilitate meetings, workshops, and presentations to gather input and provide updates.
      • Maintain strong relationships with stakeholders to ensure their needs are met.
      • Translate complex technical concepts into understandable terms for non-technical stakeholders.
    • Continuous Improvement:
    • Identify, implement ongoing continuous improvement opportunities to maximize team/process efficiencies and monitor their impact.
    • Stay updated with industry trends and best practices.
    Required Qualifications

  • Education:
    • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • Experience:
    • 2+ years of experience as a Business Analyst or in a similar role.
    • 2 years of experience working in an Agile environment
    • business requirements are accurately translated into technical solutions.
  • Skills:
    • Strong background in requirement gathering, functional specification development, and stakeholder management.
    • Strong expertise in working closely with other Business Analysts, developers, testers, and other team members to ensure end-to-end coordination/efficiency with scheduled releases.
    • Proficiency in business, data analysis and software (e.g., Microsoft Excel, SQL, Tableau).
    • Proficiency in Agile project management tools such as Rally, JIRA, Microsoft Azure DevOps, Confluence, or similar
    • Must be highly analytical, well-organized and possess strong attention to detail.
    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

    Preferred Qualifications

    • 2-3 years of healthcare (EMR) industry experience
    • Knowledge of specific industry practices or technologies relevant to the business.
    • Advanced data visualization skills using tools like Power BI or Tableau.
