HR Generalist - Recruitment and Onboarding Specialist for the IT Centre of Excellence based in India is responsible for managing the recruitment and onboarding processes for IT professionals while also handling general HR duties. This role is crucial in attracting top IT talent, integrating them effectively into the organization, and supporting the IT Centre of Excellence in achieving its strategic goals.

Primary Objectives
HR Generalist - Recruitment and Onboarding Specialist for the IT Centre of Excellence based in India is responsible for managing the recruitment and onboarding processes for IT professionals while also handling general HR duties. This role is crucial in attracting top IT talent, integrating them effectively into the organization, and supporting the IT Centre of Excellence in achieving its strategic goals.
Role Description
- Manage recruitment life cycle such as posting, pre-screening, talent profiling, interviews, interview, liaison.
- Design and execute comprehensive onboarding programs. Manage and oversee new hire onboarding experience and develop plans for continuous improvement (i.e., coordinate onboarding schedule, logistics for new hire, own HR Orientation welcome session with India and broader CONMED community)
- Provide full range of operational HR support to employees and respond to/follow-up on employee inquires as first line of assistance. Escalate to HR Leader, Asia Pacific in complex situations.
- Address employee concerns, mediate conflicts, and ensure a positive and collaborative work environment.
- Responsible for compiling and analyzing data for HR analytics, and other data/reporting as requested
- Draft employment agreements for new hires and any other employment changes requiring documentation (i.e., employment verification letters, promotions)
- Provide HR policy guidance and interpretation
- Create HR policies and procedures, and wide range of employee communications to align with the organization’s objectives and local legislative requirements
- Update and maintains employee files
- Build and maintain strong relationships across organization, including providing ongoing support and guidance on various HR matters.
- Supports and encourages engagement initiatives
- Administrator for Benefits Programs and liaison with benefits provider (local Finance Partner) to manage leave of absences, including facilitating return-to-work plans.
- Process employment events (hires, promotions, transfers) and process employee life events (i.e., benefits updates, banking address changes) and ensure data integrity of Workday
- Create and update employee handbook to ensure it is current and meets legislative requirements
- Keep up to date on trends and changes in legislation related to Human Resources and Employment law and recommend best practices
- Ensure organization is fully compliant with health and safety legislation (i.e., attend meetings, inspections)
- Responsible for compiling and analyzing data for HR analytics, and other data/reporting as requested
- Provide HR project/assignment support to HR Leader, Asia Pacific as needed
- Bachelor’s degree in human resources, Business Administration, Information Technology, or a related field.
- 3-5 years of experience in HR, with a focus on recruitment and onboarding.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in applicant tracking systems (ATS) and HR software.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Experience within the IT industry.
- Knowledge of ERP team hiring or SAP Team hiring in the past will be an additional advantage.
- Strong understanding of IT roles, technical skills, and industry trends.
