Svitla Systems Inc. is looking for an Agile Coach for a full-time position (40 hours per week) in India. The IT Strategic Management Office (SMO) team is seeking an experienced Agile Coach with technical and business acumen who can collaborate on the next generation of products for internal and external customers. The ideal candidate will have experience managing multiple Scrum teams as well as experience working with product owners and various stakeholder groups. This position requires balancing thought leadership, implementation know-how, and team facilitation. Further, this role includes coaching and leading the teams you work with through an Agile transformation, assisting everyone involved with understanding the core principles of Agile, adopting the Scrum, Kanban, and Agile scaling best practices, and continuously improving the Agile ways of working of the teams. It isn’t a role where you should wait for instructions. You will need to jump in and quickly make actionable and measurable contributions. This role also isn’t just about planning, training, and coaching. You will need to support multiple teams that are new to agile as they transition to agile ways of working, support a matrix reporting relationship with Vice Presidents across IT, and pivot if needed to support established agile teams in their journey to continuously improve their agile maturity, while staying aligned to the overall IT Agile transformation strategy.

Requirements

  • 12+ years of experience as Scrum Master/Project Manager/Agile Coach, leading 6+ teams (50+ FTE) in the IT industry.
  • Experience with Atlassian products, especially JIRA and Confluence, and creating JIRA Scrum boards and dashboards.
  • Established success in areas of impact for influence, cross-group collaboration, and focus on positive outcomes.
  • Excellent communication, organizational, interpersonal, and presentation skills.
  • Experience working with IT infrastructure, networking, enterprise architecture, information security, data and analytics, and other platform teams is highly preferred.
  • Established success in areas of impact for influence, cross-group collaboration, and focus on positive outcomes.
  • Expertise in building high-performing teams (agile org design) and coaching teams through the complexities of an Agile implementation.
  • Experience leading and providing necessary training and guidance to the IT Agile Champions Network.
  • Experience setting up and championing Communities of Practices (CoPs).
  • Ability to assess key Agile roles for required competencies and skills, and provide coaching guidance and training to support their role maturity.
  • Have a pragmatic approach to excite teams about agile (born motivator).
  • A self-starter, organized, and detail-oriented with competent problem-solving skills.
  • English language fluency in both written and verbal communication.
  • Ability to work with teams across multiple time zones.

Nice To Have

  • KMP, PMI-ACP, CSM, SAFe SSM, or equivalent.
  • Experience as the RTE.
  • BA/BS in a related degree or equivalent experience
  • Knowledge of Atlassian Compass and rich filter plug.
  • Experience coaching teams through continuous improvement using DevOps metrics.
  • Knowledge of the ServiceNow tool and Smartsheet.

Responsibilities

  • Guide diverse teams, including those in information security, infrastructure, enterprise architecture, platform, and other hybrid agile teams. Your deep expertise will help these teams adopt and improve agile practices, ensuring the efficient delivery of complex technology projects. 
  • Coach and mentor new and existing teams in Agile principles, focusing strongly on Scrum and Kanban methodologies.
  • Prepare and deliver training to teams and key agile roles within the teams, helping them adopt agile working methods.
  • Work closely with the teams to set up the Jira tool (project, workflow, issue schemes, permissions) to track the team’s work.
  • Facilitate adopting and implementing Agile practices across various teams, including security, infrastructure, enterprise architecture, and platform teams.
  • Collaborate closely with teams to establish clear performance metrics for assessing the efficacy of agile practices and making data-driven decisions.
  • Develop tailored coaching plans to address the unique challenges of hybrid and traditional project teams (e.g., Waterfall, W-Agile) transitioning to Agile frameworks.
  • Conduct workshops, training sessions, and regular feedback loops to foster a culture of continuous improvement.
  • Assist teams in creating and refining user stories, sprint planning, daily stand-ups, retrospectives, sprint reviews, scrums of scrums, and other relevant ceremonies when functioning in a team-of-teams setup.
  • Address and resolve conflicts or bottlenecks to enhance team dynamics and efficiency.
  • Collaborate with the IT Agile transformation lead and other Agile coaches to align Agile practices with the IT Agile transformation strategy.
  • Present and align with the senior leadership on a coaching plan to support their org, track progress through metrics, and share the same with them.
  • Stay updated with Agile trends, tools, and best practices to improve your coaching strategies continuously.
  • Collaborate with business stakeholders as needed to bring them on the Agile journey along with the teams.
  • Conduct observations and surveys to assess teams’ current state processes and develop an implementation plan to support their transition to adopting Agile processes and tools.
  • Work closely with the Change Management Team to align the Agile Transformation strategy to the Change Management strategy.
