This role involves working on key mechanical systems of power transformers, including tanks, covers, and external accessories, for global applications.

We make real what matters. About the role: We are looking for a skilled Mechanical Design Engineer with experience in transformer tank and structural component design. This role involves working on key mechanical systems of power transformers, including tanks, covers, and external accessories, for global applications.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design transformer tanks, stiffeners, covers, and external parts such as coolers, conservators, pipework, turrets, and conduit systems.
- Develop and manage 3D models using CAD software (e.g., CREO, Inventor, UG) and PDM tools (e.g., Teamcenter, Windchill).
- Create and review customer documentation including general arrangement drawings, foundation plans, and valve plates.
- Apply relevant international and customer-specific design standards.
- Support design for manufacturing, including fabrication, surface treatment, and painting for extreme weather conditions.
- Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering (other engineering degrees may be considered with relevant experience).
- 3 to 10 years of experience in mechanical design or a related field.
- Proficient in 3D CAD tools (CREO/ProE/Inventor/UG) and 2D CAD (AutoCAD).
- Experience using PDM systems (e.g., PDM Link, Teamcenter).
- Familiarity with FEA tools such as ANSYS or Pro Mechanical is an advantage.
- Good understanding of international transformer design standards and tank design practices used in European/global projects.
- Knowledge of SAP and working in a global engineering setup is preferred.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills in English.
- Ability to work independently and deliver high-quality results within deadlines.
- Proactive and detail-oriented approach to engineering work.
