Practice Area

BCG's Insurance Practice serves four industry sectors: Life insurance, Property & Casualty, Commercial & Reinsurance and Health, as well as Insurance brokerage firms. The practice works on the full range of issues of concern to top management, from strategy to operating model redesign, digital transformation, cost, process improvement, risk management strategy, asset management, product development, customer focus, and sales force effectiveness. We have a strong global network and "on-the-ground" experience in all major markets. The Global Practice currently comprises over 200 senior staff and works in Europe, Middle East, the Americas, and Asia Pacific, with a total of 44 insurance active offices worldwide. What You'll Do

As an Analyst – BCG Vantage within BCG's Insurance Practice Area, you will work in a growing global team, providing industry expertise and insights, working together with BCG case and proposal teams to deliver customized knowledge assets and expert advisory.

Additionally, you will support your topic in developing existing & new intellectual property and knowledge assets. You will work on commercialization efforts for the topic/sector, with business leaders, supporting marketing efforts, conferences and publications. As an Analyst – BCG Vantage you will assist with on-boarding, training and guiding junior colleagues and share best practices within the team.

Our Role Expectations Are

• The individual will support on various work, including but not limited to- creating/updating industry overview decks, industry updates; competitor performance benchmarking, excel modeling, secondary research support as required on topics/industry, summarize and package key learning from existing materials etc.
• Working on creating reports/content with BCG POVs around key topics covering Insurance space to shared internally as well as with clients
• Getting staffed on cases and working from client-site or BCG office for a duration of couple of months or more.
• Managing and processing industry focus analysis requests, and assisting consultants with industry specific problems
• Interacting with local teams and use an extensive collection of internal and external information resources to gather, filter, synthesize, package and deliver insights to case teams and clients
• Carrying strong experience in assessing the financial performance of Insurance firms, and strong business analytics capabilities
  
  

What You'll Bring

• Master's degree relevant to Insurance sector; 1+ year of relevant work experience in Insurance industry preferred
• Or Bachelor's degree, with strict minimum of 1+ year consulting experience or 2+ years of relevant industry work experience in Insurance space
• Strong business acumen and problem-solving capabilities
• Ability to work independently in absence of supervision and to exercise sound judgment.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
