Industry Sales Manager - Crop Protection

As we continue to deliver cutting-edge technology and new ideas, we are looking for an Industry Sales Manager to join our organisation to lead sales for Crop Protection business that is a part of Lifesciences sector.
Reporting into the life sciences sector sales leader, you will Maintain and grow business within the crop protection industry. Develop and influence contacts within the organization (sales, purchasing, technical, etc). The role holder will country priorities and makes decisions on the appropriate routes to the market. Supports identification of new trends and markets. Provides commercial guidance on product support and new product developments. Expected to improve the efficiency of sales systems and procedures within own discipline.

Science or Chemistry graduate with at least 10 years of experience in sales, business development of advanced additives and adjuvant for Crop care markets.
Ability to lead the team on their own without supervision, self-motivated, independent, & able to plan own and team workload
Excellent interpersonal skills. B-2-B selling including discussion of technical concepts with customers.
Strategic capability and influencing skills
Relevant industry, market, & product knowledge or ability to develop.
Strong commercial/sales acumen
What You’ll Be Doing

Maintain and grow business within the Crop Protection market. Develop and influence contacts within the organization (sales, purchasing, technical, marketing) - This will include contacts in multiple countries and require efforts to develop and negotiate sales which may ultimately be delivered in another geographic territory.
Compile annual sales plan & cost budgets, communicate the plan to relevant teams and ensure it is on target through regular reviews.
Apply broad technical and commercial knowledge within the discipline to give direction to the sales team, to deliver the annual sales plan.
Regular communication with and influencing of relevant sales network and external contacts within the Indian market.
Responsible for maximizing sales and gross margin of the business in line with objectives and strategic plan.
Integral part of the process which determines the strategy for the market areas for the next 1-3 years.
Manage the Sales team, carrying out appraisals and identifying training needs.
Manages country priorities and makedecisions on the appropriate routes to the market. Supports identification of new trends and markets. Provides commercial guidance on product support and new product developments. Expected to improve the efficiency of sales systems and procedures within own discipline.
Issues may relate to opportunities/problems related to the discipline of work and may have vague or limited information.This may involve internal and external commercial, customer, and production problems.
Depending on the nature of the market, a higher level of scientific understanding in the Herbicide/Pesticide sciences and more specifically to formulation development and adjuvants.
