in this role, you will ensure that the Cloud Product organization makes sound financial decisions. We are a partner and independent advisor to the Cloud product, business and operational leaders, providing financial, analytical and strategic insights.
You will be responsible for forecasting/planning for business growth and expenses, financial reporting, cost management, top line analysis and evaluating strategic investments.
You will also provide decision support and conduct financial reviews of a wide range of business issues driving efficiency and optimal deployment of infrastructure, from agreement analysis to data center efficiency tracking to inventory and engineering efficiencies.
Responsibilities
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Economics, Statistics, or another quantitative field, or equivalent practical experienc
- 4 years of experience in financial planning and analysis (FP&A), consulting, or a related function, or an advanced degree.
- Experience in spend management and budget planning cycles.
- Experience in financial modeling, financial planning and analysis (FPandA), consulting, or a related function.
- Experience with regularly presenting to executive management, with the ability to set objectives and drive to results while building long-term relationships across organizational boundaries.
- Knowledge of the Cloud/Software industry.
- Excellent communication, investigative, technical skills (e.g., Spreadsheets, SQL, dashboard creation), quantitative, written, and presentation skills, with innovative, organized, and thorough eagerness to further develop these skills.

Responsibilities
- Own PandL of Google Compute Engine ($XB) product verticals drive monthly and quarterly business reviews (MBRs/QBRs) and provide strategic financial insights based on in-depth analyses
- Support GTM Initiatives and New Product Introductions (NPI) with unit economics analyses and PandL Impact, via cross-functional collaboration with Product Managers and Business Planning teams. Analyze performance of New Product Introductions compared to business projections.
- Develop VM level Infrastructure Margin reporting. Drive analysis at the granularity of volume, price, efficiencies and support Product teams with actionable insights. Analyze VMs positioning relative to the rest of the product portfolios. Rationalize the product roadmap, pricing strategies, and critical product launch decisions.
- Partner with Capacity, Product Management, and TI teams to rationalize investments in the business based on demand and margin signals.
