- Leadership & Team Management:
- Lead and mentor a team of QA engineers to ensure best practices in testing and quality assurance.
- Provide guidance in the design, development, and execution of test plans and test cases.
- Facilitate the professional growth of the QA team by providing training and career development opportunities.
- Coordinate with other departments (e.g., development, product management, and operations) to ensure timely product releases.
- Quality Assurance Strategy:
- Develop and implement a comprehensive quality assurance strategy, including both manual and automated testing.
- Define and maintain testing frameworks, standards, and best practices.
- Identify and mitigate potential quality risks early in the software development lifecycle.
- Testing & Reporting:
- Oversee and perform thorough functional, regression, performance, and user acceptance testing.
- Analyze test results, log defects, and track them through resolution.
- Develop and present detailed reports on testing results, quality metrics, and progress.
- Process Improvement:
- Continuously evaluate and improve the QA processes to increase efficiency and effectiveness.
- Advocate for the integration of quality throughout the software development lifecycle, ensuring continuous improvement.
- Collaboration:
- Work closely with product managers, developers, and business stakeholders to understand requirements and design effective test cases.
- Participate in sprint planning and review meetings to provide input on quality-related matters.
- Coordinate with external testing partners or third-party services, when necessary.
