About The Role
We are seeking a seasoned, high-impact leader to serve as Country Manager – India. This individual will be responsible for driving Confluent’s commercial success in one of our most strategic markets, while building and leading a world-class team across enterprise sales, customer success, and go-to-market strategy.
The ideal candidate is a commercially driven, customer-centric leader with a deep understanding of the enterprise tech and data space in India. You are equally comfortable engaging C-level executives, partnering with global functions, and rolling up your sleeves to unlock market opportunities.
As we enter a critical phase of hypergrowth in India, this role is instrumental in accelerating Confluent’s revenue trajectory. The Country Manager will be expected to drive aggressive market expansion, scale high-impact customer engagements, and capitalize on the increasing demand for data streaming platforms across industries.

What You Will Do
- Define and execute the go-to-market strategy for Confluent in India, aligned with our APAC and global growth objectives
- Drive revenue growth and customer expansion across all segments, from large enterprises to digital natives
- Build, lead, and develop a high-performing sales and customer-facing organization
- Represent Confluent in the market, fostering executive-level relationships with strategic customers and partners
- Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders (Marketing, Solutions Engineering, Customer Success, Product, and GSI/Cloud Alliances) to ensure customer satisfaction and business alignment
- Provide regular business updates and forecasts to regional and global leadership
- Serve as a key cultural ambassador for Confluent in the region
- 15+ years of leadership experience in enterprise software or cloud platforms, with at least 5 years in a country or regional management role
- Proven track record of building and scaling sales organizations in high-growth environments
- Strong understanding of the data, analytics, cloud, or infrastructure ecosystem (Kafka, stream processing, open-source, or similar domains preferred)
- Ability to navigate complex enterprise sales cycles and engage CXO-level stakeholders
- Demonstrated success in hiring, developing, and retaining top talent
- Strategic thinker with hands-on execution capability
- Excellent communication, influencing, and stakeholder management skills
- Based in India, with willingness to travel regionally and globally as needed
