Position Summary
Provide support to the corporate SCM and other regional business group.
Duties And Responsibilities
- Create and maintain MIS reports based on collated data, ensuring accuracy and consistency.
- Support team members by sharing expertise, actively participating in meetings, and completing assigned tasks with precision and timeliness.
- Demonstrate initiative to accomplish individual objectives while contributing to overall team success.
- Manage multiple tasks effectively in a fast-paced and dynamic environment, ensuring efficiency and adaptability.
- Follow standardized processes by adhering to predefined parameters and aligning with correct workflows.
- Maintain clear and consistent communication with the team, providing frequent updates and escalating any potential service-level breaches.
- Comply with SCM processes, update process documentation, and ensure consistent reporting of work progress.
- Develop and maintain system documentation to support operational effectiveness and smooth workflows.
- Conduct data analysis and generate insights to support business decisions.
- Coordinate with cross-functional teams to streamline reporting and improve processes.
- Proactively identify inefficiencies and suggest actionable improvements.
- Ensure adherence to company policies and compliance requirements in all documentation and reporting.
- Manage time effectively to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
- Demonstrate technical proficiency in relevant tools such as Excel, ERP systems, or databases, if applicable.
- Continue learning and adapting to stay updated with best practices in administrative and SCM processes.
- This position has/does not have direct supervisory responsibilities.
- Sr Purchasing Specialist I
- Bachelors in science / commerce / PGDCA/ BCA or B-tech with more than 1 years of SCM experience.
- Practical experience as SCM related task and should be able to mentor entry level SCM people.
- Knowledge of the Microsoft Office package, especially of Excel, word and Visio.
- Self-driven, positive attitude.
- Strong communication skills.
- Ability to work in a cross functional team.
- Strong organizing & planning skills.
- Disciplined documentation and record keeping skills.
- Flexibility and adaptability under adverse conditions.
Working Conditions
This position is considered OFFICE WORK which is characterized as follows.
- Almost exclusively indoors during the day and occasionally at night.
- Occasional exposure to airborne dust in the work place.
- Work surface is stable (flat).
