Job Overview

Podar Education Network is seeking a dedicated Psychological Counselor for our Hubballi location. This full-time, junior-level role requires a candidate with a maximum of 6 years of experience in the field. As a Psychological Counselor, you will support students' emotional and mental well-being, ensuring they achieve their academic potential through expert guidance.


Qualifications and Skills

  • A Master's degree in psychology is essential for candidacy (Mandatory skill).
  • Proficiency in cognitive behavioral therapy to aid students in managing and altering unhelpful behaviours and thoughts.
  • Crisis intervention expertise, enabling prompt and effective responses to students in critical situations.
  • Strong skills in solution-focused therapy, fostering goal-oriented strategies to support students effectively.
  • Exceptional active listening abilities, crucial for understanding and addressing student concerns accurately.
  • Competency in trauma-informed care to ensure a compassionate approach to students with a history of trauma.
  • Multicultural competence is vital for respecting and understanding cultural differences within the student body.
  • Experience as a counselor providing professional expertise in guiding students towards personal and academic growth.


Roles and Responsibilities

  • Provide one-on-one and group counseling sessions to offer guidance and support to students.
  • Assess student needs and develop personalized intervention plans to address emotional and psychological challenges.
  • Conduct workshops and educational programs to enhance students' coping strategies and resilience.
  • Collaborate with teachers, parents, and school staff to create a supportive environment for students.
  • Monitor student progress, providing feedback and adjustments to counseling strategies as needed.
  • Respond promptly to crisis situations and provide appropriate interventions and support.
  • Maintain accurate records of counseling sessions and progress assessments in compliance with confidentiality laws.
  • Stay updated on the latest counseling practices and integrate new techniques into counseling methods.
