Cloud Engineer

Role purpose

The candidate will be responsible for build and manage cloud based infrastructure using Devops and “Infrastructure as a code” practices. Reporting into the Infrastructure Services Technical Manager, he/she will be responsible for the design, build and implementation of technical solutions working towards migrating to the Cloud.

What You Will Be Doing

• Build the infrastructure services for different product lines with in travelex using cloud computing tools
• Building the pre-emptive solutions to reduce support incidences
• Working on Releasing infrastructure features on to production and fix the production infrastructure bugs
• Review and identify ways to improve performance and stability of services and applications running on Cloud Infrastructure through continuous improvement and automation
• Running Sprint Planning and familier with JIRA.
• Would work with Cloud-Devops Mgr. to promote breadth of skills across the team members.
• Would focus on knowledge asset build up through confluence.
• Backlog management and grooming with Cloud-DevOps Manager
• Daily Standup with responsibility of unblocking team members either with technical direction or external non-technical dependency management.
• Sprint retro with focus on continuous improvement sprint by sprint.. Actions taken by scrum master should be visible.
• Conduct demo with all teams consuming Cloud-DevOps work.
• Weekly reporting
• Focus on Gradual improvement of velocity of scrum team.
  
  

What We Are Looking For

• 4+ Years of experience on AWS
• Operational knowledge in Docker containers and Orchestration of containers on AWS using ECS and FARAG
• Knowledge on configuration and management of AWS Elastic load balancer
• Hands on exposure to building containers using scripts ( Docker file , Docker compose)
• Knowledge about AWS RDS, S3 ,IAM
• Experience in using IAC tools like terraform or Cloud formation and Ansible
• Understanding and implementation of cloud trail / cloud watch monitoring tools
• Working knowledge on CI/CD for web based and Client applications
• Experience with source controlled systems like Git and knowledge of PowerShell scripting
• Strong Experience with Scrum Delivery Process.
