We're thrilled to announce the opening for Area Sales Manager, Delhi, reporting to the National Sales Manager, India. As the Area Sales Manager, you will play a pivotal role in developing and executing sales strategies to achieve targets and expand market presence in Delhi. Key responsibilities include driving sales and business development across various retail formats, managing key accounts, and building strong relationships with distributors and retailers. The candidate will oversee market expansion, ensure brand visibility, and manage pricing, promotions, and inventory. Additionally, the role requires recruiting and managing a high-performing sales team, monitoring market trends, and ensuring compliance with company policies and budgets. Success in this role demands strong leadership, a results-driven approach, and effective collaboration with marketing and sales teams.

Job Responsibilities

How you will contribute…

Sales & Business Development

  • Develop and implement sales strategies to achieve volume, revenue, and market share targets set by the Senior Management through Patnership Model.
  • Identify new business opportunities and expand distribution channels.
  • Drive brand visibility and promotional activities in key markets.
  • Manage pricing, margins, and profitability in line with company policies.
  • Manage all formats of On Trade Channel (Horeca accounts, Flagships, National Key Accounts etc.).
  • Achieve mutually agreed points of distribution of MHI brands within FL2/Retail and On-Trade Channel
  • Maintain, develop and grow distribution points focusing on visibility and correct placement in all outlets in order to expand MHI business opportunities within Retail.
  • Establish MHI as a leading company amongst end consumers, trade.
  • Target sales and marketing activities to outlets to ensure maximum ROI.

Market Expansion & Account Management

  • Build strong relationships with key accounts, distributors, wholesalers, and retailers.
  • Negotiate and execute trade agreements, ensuring compliance with legal and regulatory requirements.
  • Work closely with modern trade, general trade, and on-premise accounts to maximize sales.
  • Ensure that brand merchandising standards are achieved at all times utilizing POSM and creative enhancements. All activation's/ promotions to be captured in pictures and the same needs to uploaded in company portal for documentation.
  • Monitor competitor activity / dealing / pricing and promotions within territory and provide prompt feedback to the sales and marketing teams.
  • Work closely with marketing team to evaluate methods of improving the effectiveness and operational efficiencies of promotional activities – provide all aspects of feedback.
  • Ensure Receivables and Collections as per plan to contribute to the Company‘s bottom-line.
  • Adhering to laid out processes.

Growth & market share

  • Drive retail business through depot/store managers
  • Regularly conduct retail outlet audits to study market share movements and track stock management.
  • Focus on strong tracks for volume growth & build brand image & generate growth.
  • Ensured strict adherence to working norms & practices Report / Analysis.

People/ Team

  • Recruit, train, and manage a high-performing sales team on Partner’s Payroll.
  • Set sales targets, monitor performance, and provide ongoing coaching and motivation.
  • Foster a results-driven culture focused on customer engagement and revenue growth.

Activation and promotions

  • Drive ‘Liquid on Lips’ through executing the relevant activations in On-Trade O/Ls in an efficient way.
  • Responsible for FTT and ANP budget for the brands at the state level.
  • Contract management and quarterly analysis for the region. Retail outlet management
  • Execute marketing plans in the territory as per the guidelines from marketing team, while working within company policies, resources and budgets.

Stock and Inventory Management

  • Set and deliver objectives in terms of width of distribution and retail universe by ensuring the availability of each registered brand.
  • Manage the new product launches in the region.
  • Monitor stock transfer from winery and BIO brands inventory management at each relevant depot/distributor

Collection

  • Responsible for collection of all the outstanding form wholesalers, Retailer, Hotels, clubs, restaurant etc

Profile

  • 8-10 years of retail experience in Wines & Spirits, Hospitality FMCG, or a similar industry.
  • Master’s degree in business (Sales & Marketing) or a Hotel Management graduate.
  • Excellent communication skills to effectively engage with diverse stakeholders – Distributor and Trade Partners
  • Strong interpersonal skills to build relationships and foster collaboration with Key Accounts in On Trade
  • A proven track record of meeting and exceeding targets.
  • A deep understanding of the luxury goods market, with a customer-first approach.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills in English.
