Key Responsibilities

  • Project Oversight:
    • Supervise and manage daily construction activities at the site.
    • Ensure that construction work is carried out in accordance with project plans, specifications, and relevant standards.
  • Coordination:
    • Collaborate with engineers and subcontractors to ensure effective communication and project alignment.
    • Coordinate with site workers and subcontractors to ensure timely execution of tasks.
  • Quality Control:
    • Conduct inspections to monitor construction quality and adherence to design specifications.
    • Identify and resolve any issues related to materials, workmanship, or safety.
  • Documentation:
    • Maintain accurate records of site activities, including daily reports, progress updates, and any deviations from plans.
    • Prepare and submit progress reports to the project manager.
  • Safety Management:
    • Implement and enforce safety protocols on site to ensure a safe working environment.
    • Conduct regular safety inspections and risk assessments.
  • Problem Solving:
    • Address any technical or operational issues that arise during construction.
    • Propose solutions and alternatives to keep the project on track.
  • Budget Management:
    • Monitor project expenditures and assist in managing the project budget.
    • Report any discrepancies or potential overruns to the project manager.
Qualifications

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
  • 1-3 years of experience in site engineering or construction management.
  • Knowledge of construction methods, materials, and regulations.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Additional Information

Preferred Skills

  • Proficiency in construction management software and tools.
  • Familiarity with project management principles and practices.
  • Certifications in safety management.

Working Conditions

  • Ability to work on construction sites, including exposure to various weather conditions and safety hazards.
  • May require travel to different project sites as needed.
