The Advisory teams provide strategic capital projects & transaction advisory services for major projects in the infrastructure market across all phases of the business life cycle, informed by our operational knowledge and deep functional expertise. By integrating both strategic and technical expertise we serve the “whole client” from the executive leadership to those who procure deliver projects and operations. Our group cuts across the different market sectors in the region which includes Water & Environment, Transportation, Built Environment and Healthcare.

We seek a talented and dynamic Financial Advisor with relevant experience to join our growing team and work collaboratively with the Regional Strategic Consulting Teams.

Job Responsibilities

Jacobs have well-established strategic advisory capabilities and extensive experience working collaboratively with government agencies and private businesses to solve complex problems.

The primary function of this role will be working closely with these regional consulting teams to support the delivery of projects which includes

  • Providing robust financial analysis to clients to support development and investment decisions
  • Providing financial and business advisory support to infrastructure projects in a range of markets for example Transport & Water infrastructure and regions
  • Supporting growth of the Economics and Finances Practice through focus on quality and fostering strong working relationships.
  • Providing up to date financial insights; establishing and maintaining relationships to identify, pursuing and winning new work opportunities; and working as part of the multi-disciplinary teams to achieve successful project delivery.
  • You will support Jacobs to ensure it can thrive in a global setting, encouraging cross-geography relationship building and work sharing to maximise the benefit of global delivery to our clients and our people.

Here's what you'll need

  • A postgraduate or professional qualification in finance, economics, planning, engineering, architecture, business administration (MBA), or related field.
  • More than 5 years of prior experience in the development and use of capital project business models including demand and revenue, feasibility studies, performance, business case economic appraisal, construction and operating & maintenance costs.
  • Knowledge of Business Economics; Applied Microeconomics; Cost Benefit Analysis; Urban Economics, Economic Impact Assessments; Financial Modelling; Economic Appraisal.
  • Experience of implementing the guidelines assessing/evaluating the commercial aspects of the PPP projects.
  • Strong analytical and structured thinking, exposure to team work as well as global stakeholder engagement.
  • Strong research & analysis ability supplemented with excellent report writing capabilities.
  • Skills in Microsoft Excel based Data analysis and Modelling skills.
  • Providing high quality written reports and analysis.
  • Effective communication including presentation and interpersonal skills with an ability to deal with people at all levels professionally.
