Roles & Responsibilities

Job Purpose/Objective Responsible for ensuring the warehouse operates at peak efficiency in their shifts, by determining product handling and storage requirements, equipment utilization, inventory management, gate processes, and shipping with customer satisfaction

Key responsibilities

  • Supervise daily activities of the warehouse/ yard operations, including quality assurance, inventory control, space management, logistics, floor productivity, shipping, and customer service
  • Train and manage a warehouse team to solve day-to-day operational issues and reach short- and long-term performance goals
  • Review and prepare workflow, manning and space requirements, equipment layout, and action plans while ensuring productivity, quality and customer service standards are met.
  • Keeping track of Shift Attendance.
  • Ensuring timely updating of Operating Systems (WMS etc.)
  • Schedule and oversee warehouse team to meet the demands of the customer and manage the flow and quality of work to maximize efficiency and minimize overtime
  • Meet regularly with operations leads to review, analyze, and develop actionable plans for productivity and loss prevention.
  • Ensuring timely data capture for all the activities taking place in WH in shift.
  • Coordination with different departments for timely completion of task/s assigned

Qualifications & Competencies

Skills and Competencies

  • 8 -12 years of experience of handling Large size warehouses. (1.5 Lakh Sq ft Plus)
  • Proven track record of Managing warehouses with multiple clients/Cargo /Products/SKUs
  • Well versed with Modern Warehousing Practices- WMS (Homegrown or Oracle/SAP etc. Based), Technology based Putaway & Picking
  • Experience of Handling Blue collard Manpower
  • Hands on experience of Picking/Packing activities
  • Analytical skills for Space optimisation, Process streamlining
  • Proven track record of cost optimisation, bringing efficiency into system.
  • Experience of coordinating with supporting departments like Transport, HR/IR etc
  • Proven track record of managing cargo of high performance organizations similar like- FMCG. Telecom, Electronics, E-Commerce, 3PLs, etc
  • Good knowledge of MS Office/Emails is expected
  • Good written and oral communication skills are needed.
