This role is critical for ensuring the successful transfer of knowledge and skills during organizational transitions, such as new projects, team expansions, or personnel changes. The Program Manager will design, develop, and implement effective knowledge transfer strategies to equip teams with the necessary information and expertise to perform their roles effectively. This role requires strong project management, communication, and instructional design skills.

Position Responsibilities

  • Knowledge Transfer Planning & Design:
    • Collaborate with stakeholders (project managers, subject matter experts, team leads) to identify knowledge transfer needs and develop comprehensive knowledge transfer plans.
    • Conduct needs assessments to determine the scope of knowledge transfer, identify knowledge gaps, and define learning objectives.
    • Partner with stakeholders including at times, third party vendors to design and develop effective training materials, including presentations, workbooks, manuals, and online resources.

  • Plan Training Delivery & Facilitation:
    • Plan and execute engaging and effective training sessions, utilizing a variety of instructional methods (e.g., classroom, online, workshops, mentoring).
    • Facilitate knowledge sharing sessions between subject matter experts and trainees.
    • Provide ongoing support and coaching to trainees during the knowledge transfer process.
    • During knowledge transitions, ensure successful 3rd party training by proactively managing execution and addressing risks through learner engagement and feedback.

  • Nesting & Onboarding:
    • Develop and implement structured nesting plans to provide supervised on-the-job training and support.
    • Monitor trainee performance during the nesting phase and provide feedback and coaching.
    • Facilitate smooth onboarding of new team members by ensuring they have the necessary access, resources, and support.

  • Knowledge Management:
    • Develop and maintain a central repository of knowledge transfer materials, including training documents, best practices, and lessons learned.
    • Ensure the ongoing maintenance and update of knowledge transfer materials.
    • Promote a culture of knowledge sharing within the organization.

  • Project Management:
    • Manage the entire knowledge transfer process, ensuring adherence to timelines and budgets.
    • Track progress, identify and resolve challenges, and report on project status.
    • Continuously evaluate and improve the effectiveness of knowledge transfer processes.
Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Education, OR Advanced certification Instructional Design, or a related field from an accredited institution
  • 5-6 years of experience in a training management or instructional design role with Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to analyze data and draw meaningful insights.
  • 3-4 years of program management experience
  • Certification and experience with project management methodologies like Scrum, Agile or Lean.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills.

Preferred Qualifications

  • PMP and Prince 2 Certification
  • Proven experience with Learning Management Systems (LMS) and other training technologies.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI, Data Studio etc.).
  • Six Sigma or equivalent certification
