We are looking for a Project Management Professional

You’ll make a difference by:

• Leading and preparing system design, system configuration, power supply circuits, CCP, CRP which is optimum for Main line railway signaling projects based on the available product portfolio, to technically and qualitatively implement this system configuration in the customer project and to support the project manager in technical issues.
• Consistent system management is to be ensured throughout the entire project implementation phase to minimize the technical risks of complex projects.
• Coordinates and monitors the design interface process during the project implementation phase. Cost Analysis and Profit improvement Plan(QAP) approval to avoid delay in manufacturing and inspection of material at vendor works.
• The System Engineer assumes technical responsibility for the system configuration and the system concept and their implementation in customer projects of Main line railway signalng projects.
• With regard to the system configuration and the system concept, the System Engineer ensures communication and acts as an interface between the project, Sales, Product Management, Development and the customer.
• Responsibility for determination and updating of the system configuration and the system concept lies with the SI throughout the entire project duration.
• The System Engineer is responsible for quality and efficiency of the interface design process in the project implementation phase.
• Technical support for Sales in the project acquisition phase, if possible
• Recording and clarification of all technical and operational requirements for a customer system, taking into consideration contractual obligations
• Clarification of requirements with regard to:
• Scope of user requirements
• Specification of user requirements with the objective of defining favorable solutions in terms of both budget and timescale, taking into consideration product portfolio characteristics (including those of non-Siemens products used)
• Specification of user requirements with regard to important system aspects, e.g. system performance, safety objectives and operability
• Management of the analysis of user requirements by the specialists and compilation of any assumptions as a substitute for non-existent requirements, and initiation of a speedy, binding clarification of such requirements with the customer
• System architecture
• Consideration of the operating conditions (safety, environment, standards, etc.) of the individual subsystems / components* in design of the architecture
• Assurance of adherence to the approved product / system strategy (e.g. basic circuitry diagrams)
• Definition and description of technical and content-related conditions for the systems / products to be connected
• Analysis and description of operational processes, if necessary
• Indication of system limits in the system concept and monitoring of implementation of the system concept on the overall system level and the module level
• Compilation of training and test concepts, taking into consideration the system concept
• Development share in customer project
• Technical consultation about the development packages required for implementation
• Assurance of compliance with applicable technical standards and regulations
• Project
• Assumption of system responsibility in the project and contact for project management
• Support for the project manager with regard to scheduling
• Provision of technically necessary information for the maintenance phase to the technical sales manager / product manager
• Authorities
• The System Engineer is available as technical contact for customer projects.
• Review of designs from customer and validate the interface designs.
  
  

Desired Skills:

• You should have a minimum 10 years of experience in in the Civil/Telecom field, including development work and interactions with customers with Bachelor’s in engineering (preferably Civil/ Telecom)
• Extensive leadership experience and strong teaming abilities
• Excellent problem-solving skills
• Fluent writing and reading skills of language(s) used for official communication in a project
