*Job Summary:*

The Regional Sales Manager – Agriculture is responsible for developing and executing strategic sales plans to expand the customer base and ensure strong market presence for agricultural products. This includes managing a regional sales team, building distributor networks, and driving revenue growth for products such as seeds, agrochemicals, biofertilizers, farm machinery, or related agri-inputs.

*Key Responsibilities:*

*Sales Strategy & Execution:*

Develop and implement region-specific salesstrategies to meet or exceed revenue targets.

*Team Management:*

Lead, train, and motivate a team of Area Sales Managers (ASMs), Territory Sales Officers (TSOs), and field staff to drive performance and achieve sales objectives.

*Distributor & Channel Development:*

Appoint and manage distributors, dealers, and channel partners while ensuring product availability and market coverage.

*Customer Engagement:*

Build strong relationships with key farmers, agri-dealers, government bodies, and institutional clients.

*Market Intelligence:*

Monitor competitor activity, pricing, and market trends to identify new business opportunities and provide feedback for product development.

*Budgeting & Reporting:*

Prepare sales forecasts, monitor regional budgets, and submit timely reports onsales performance, targets, and market challenges.

*Compliance & Documentation:*

Ensure all sales activities comply with regulatory standards and internal policies.

*Qualifications:*

Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Agriculture, Agronomy, Agribusiness, or a related field.

6–15 years of proven experience in agricultural sales, with at least 2–3 years in a regional managerial role.

Strong knowledge of agri-input markets, including seeds, pesticides, fertilizers, or allied products.
