Qualifications and Skills
- Indian cuisine expertise (Mandatory skill) with an emphasis on traditional and contemporary dishes.
- Proficiency in menu planning to optimize variety and allure for patrons.
- Solid understanding of food safety and hygiene practices to uphold industry standards.
- Skilled in cooking techniques for Tandoor to produce authentic flavors and textures.
- Experience in kitchen management to efficiently oversee daily operations and team workflow.
- Capability in ingredient sourcing to ensure quality and cost-effectiveness in culinary production.
- Experience in inventory management, securing essential stock levels and minimizing waste.
- Strong ability in recipe development, introducing new and intriguing culinary delights.
Roles and Responsibilities
- Assist the head chef in planning menus and daily specials tailored to customer preferences and seasonal trends.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and well-functioning kitchen environment in adherence to health regulations.
- Supervise kitchen staff to ensure proper food preparation and presentation are consistently executed.
- Train and develop kitchen staff, providing constructive feedback to elevate kitchen performance.
- Manage stock levels and order supplies to ensure the availability of fresh ingredients at all times.
- Assist in the creative development of new dishes, incorporating innovative ideas into the menu.
- Collaborate with kitchen management to continuously improve culinary offerings and service delivery.
- Conduct periodic assessments of the kitchen’s operations, recommending areas for efficiency improvement.
