IT Application Support

ROLE

The role is part of the Client’s IT application DevOps team which provides application management services of the Enterprise Data Management Platform (DMP) to client’s local business units. It involves day-to-day application support in ensuring continued availability and effectiveness of the application, application enhancement and governance. Other responsibilities include building and maintaining environments and deploying release management strategy.

Key Accountabilities

• Manage and maintain production service availability, stability and integrity.
• Maintain and adopt IT Service Management best practices and lifecycles for process workflows (e.g. service request, incident, problem, change, defect, release management).
• Take ownership of all issues and outages. Track and monitor issues progress until their completion and provide timely issue escalation to relevant audiences.
• Ensure that the quality of incident, problem and change records are of high standard which can withstand external scrutiny.
• Ensure proper process workflow is followed in accordance with internal controls, compliance and audit requirements.

• Facilitate, support and furnish data for audit requirements timely.
• Drive delivery of small projects and application enhancement.
• Prepare metrics reporting for service management operational review.
• Perform user access management and review.
  
  

Experience / Qualifications

• At least 2 years of working experience in similar roles in Investment Bank or Asset Management industry.
• Knowledge of IT Service Management Frameworks and Standards (e.g. CMMI, ITIL).
• Knowledge of development and unit testing of PL\SQL functions, stored procedures.
• Experience using Oracle 12c, SQL Server 2008 or above, Control-M scheduler.
• Demonstrable knowledge of the Scripting languages such as Shell and Bash.
• Exposure to GoldenSource product suite (Golden Copy, Data Warehouse, Insights), Blackrock Aladdin, BNPP and data providers such as RIMES, ICE, Copp Clark.
