Material planning - Maintain required quantity of supplies and materials to optimize production.
Inventory Management - Analyzes current inventories and procedures; suggests improvements to increase efficiency of supply chain and profitability for the company.
Analyze slow moving - nonmoving items, suggest proposals to consume such materials.
Act as part of the team coordinating engineering changes, product line extension, or new product launches to ensure timely and orderly material and production flow transitions.
Monitor delivery performance of suppliers, assessing their ability to meet and delivery requirements; identify and qualifies new suppliers in collaboration with other departments.
Participate as an advisory member of the product development team, providing information and guidance on availability of supplies and materials.
Timely reporting issues in supply chain to mitigate risk.
Derive forecast by using historical data & inputs from dependent departments. Share forecast with supplier for advance material planning
Should have brief knowledge about – SAP transactions (MM module), quality management, production planning, warehouse management etc.
Brief knowledge about – Import- export procedures. Air/ sea shipments, Inco terms, Freight calculation, Custom clearance procedures.
