Roles And Responsibilities
Strategic Communication
- Coordinate with program teams to collect content, data, and insights from field activities to ensure accurate representation of activities and outcomes.
- Support in development, implementation, and evaluation of communication strategies that build and protect the organisation’s reputation among diverse stakeholders, including donors, partners, beneficiaries, Church leaders, and the public.
- Craft and disseminate press releases, newsletters, and digital content that communicate key messages and highlight the Caritas India’s humanitarian and development impact.
- Stay updated on the latest communication trends & practices; and incorporate these into your work.
- Building and maintaining strong relationships with journalists, media outlets, Church networks, and community leaders and media contact databases to secure positive media coverage and amplify the organisation’s voice.
- Write, edit, and supervise the production of communication materials, including case studies, annual reports, brochures, presentations, newsletters, and social media content that aligns with Organisation’s thematic expertise.
- Create data-driven collaterals such as videos, social media posts, infographics, etc., aligned with Caritas India Thematic objectives for social media
- Manage and update the organisation’s website and social media platforms, engaging users with content that inspires action.
- Support in organizing events such as press conferences, community outreach activities, and Church-related initiatives, ensuring all logistics and communications are handled professionally and in line with organization’s ethos.
- Track and analyse social media performance every quarter, and suggest ways for improvement to increase visibility, reach, growth, engagement and followers.
- Prepare monthly and quarterly communication reports with KPIs, analytics, and actionable insights for strategic improvement.
- Create visual content for digital and print media, including brochures, flyers, reports, newsletters, infographics, and social media graphics.
- Develop compelling video content for social media, websites, and presentations, including short promotional clips, interviews, and event highlights.
- Train and coach program staff and partners on effective communication practices, including storytelling, photography, branding, and use of digital tools.
- Facilitate sessions to enhance internal communication and consistent messaging across regions.
Master’s degree in Communications, Journalism, Public Relations, Mass Media, Design, Marketing, or a related field.
