Overview
CACTUS is a remote-first organization and we embrace an accelerate from anywhere culture. You may be required to travel to our Mumbai office based on business requirements or for company/team events.
We are looking for an energetic Intern to join our Engineering team and be a part of Cactus Labs, our R&D and innovation cell for business solutions.
Cactus Labs is the high-impact R&D cell of Cactus Communications. We harness the power of AI and Big Data to develop innovative products and solutions for publishers, businesses, and stakeholders in academia and the life sciences. We are a multicultural team spread across countries, operating 100% remotely.
At Labs, we are organized into various tribes (teams) working across diverse domains such as Multimedia (alt-gen formats), Natural Language Processing, Big Data, Applied Machine Learning, and Low-Latency Engineering.

Responsibilities
- Take full ownership of your work and code. We’re a young team that takes pride in what we build—and yes, we do have passionate debates over camelCasing, snake_casing, and PascalCasing.
- Collaborate closely with team members and domain SMEs to design and build effective solutions.
- Go beyond just writing code—understand the product and the user, and actively contribute to product direction and user empathy.
- Be an active participant in code reviews—both giving and receiving feedback. Help set and maintain coding standards for the team.
- Stay curious and adaptive. We’re constantly experimenting with bleeding-edge technologies and implementing them at scale.
- Experience/Projects with Python to write efficient and scalable functional code
- Experience/Projets with React/Next.js
- Experience/Projects on cloud services (AWS, GCP) is a plus point
