Job Description

The AVP of Supply Chain Management (SCM) oversees the entire supply chain, ensuring efficient procurement, logistics, and vendor management to support large-scale solar projects. This role involves strategic planning, cost optimization, and ensuring timely delivery of materials and Sourcing and Procurement:

  • Develop and implement sourcing strategies to secure the best value for materials, components, and services, while considering quality, delivery schedules, and vendor performance.

Vendor Management

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with vendors, evaluating their performance and negotiating contracts to ensure favorable terms and conditions.

Logistics And Inventory Control

  • Manage the flow of materials from suppliers to project sites, ensuring efficient transportation, storage, and inventory management to minimize lead times and costs.

Contract Management

  • Oversee contract negotiations and ensure adherence to contractual obligations, including monitoring performance and resolving disputes.

Cost Management

  • Implement cost-reduction initiatives and track expenses to ensure adherence to project budgets and improve overall profitability.

Supply Chain Optimization

  • Identify areas for improvement in the supply chain, implementing process improvements to enhance efficiency and reduce lead times.

Project Support

  • Collaborate with project teams to provide timely and cost-effective supply chain support, ensuring successful project execution.

Team Leadership

  • Lead and mentor the SCM team, providing guidance and support to ensure effective performance and professional Ensure compliance with all relevant laws and regulations governing supply chain Skills and Qualifications:
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Electrical/Civil/Mechanical Engineering, MBA or certificate course in supply chain management.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in relevant software and tools, such as ERP systems and supply chain management software.
  • Leadership Skills: Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Analytical Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Negotiation Skills: Proven ability to negotiate favorable contracts and manage vendor relationships.
