The Team and Role:

This is a New Role in our Manufacturing Strategy and Diversification Team. This team is responsible for Long term Manufacturing decisions and lead some of its execution. Its is a very detail oriented team which has done some really tough and successful transfer since the 2020 Supply Chain Disruption . It has been responsible in de-risking our supply chain in the past and continues to do so by pushing the current boundaries to move to a more resilient future.

The Manufacturing Project Manager is responsible for Leading Transfer projects in India - However this is not a pure Project management Role - you need to be deeply involved in the production process and be able to own it once the project is stabilized. This gives you incredible opportunity to impact an important Strategy in our Organization and lead it to a sustainable success.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Project Planning
  • Define project objectives, scope, and deliverables in collaboration with stakeholders.
  • Develop detailed project plans, including timelines, budgets, and resource allocation.
  • Identify and assess potential risks and develop mitigation strategies.
  • Project Execution
  • Lead cross-functional teams to execute manufacturing projects efficiently.
  • Monitor project progress, ensuring adherence to schedules and budgets.
  • Coordinate with engineering, production, procurement, and quality assurance teams to ensure seamless project execution
  • Resource Management
  • Allocate resources (personnel, equipment, materials) effectively to meet project goals.
  • Manage relationships with vendors, suppliers, and contractors to ensure timely delivery of materials and services.
  • Optimize resource utilization to minimize costs and maximize efficiency.
  • Budget and Cost Control
  • Develop and manage project budgets, tracking expenses and ensuring cost-effectiveness.
  • Identify cost-saving opportunities without compromising quality or safety.
  • Provide regular financial reports to stakeholders.

Quality Assurance

  • Ensure all manufacturing processes and outputs meet quality standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Implement and monitor quality control procedures throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Address quality issues promptly and implement corrective actions.
  • Stakeholder Communication
  • Act as the primary point of contact for project stakeholders, including senior management, clients, and team members.
  • Provide regular project updates, including status reports, risk assessments, and performance metrics.
  • Facilitate meetings and presentations to communicate project progress and outcomes.
  • Process Improvement
  • Identify opportunities for process optimization and efficiency improvements.
  • Implement Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, or other continuous improvement methodologies.
  • Collaborate with teams to streamline workflows and reduce waste.
  • Risk Management
  • Identify potential risks to project success and develop mitigation strategies.
  • Address issues promptly to minimize disruptions to project timelines and deliverables.
  • Team Leadership
  • Lead, motivate, and mentor project team members.
  • Foster a collaborative and productive work environment.
  • Provide training and development opportunities to enhance team capabilities.
  • Project Closure
  • Ensure all project deliverables are completed and handed over to stakeholders.
  • Conduct post-project evaluations to assess performance and identify lessons learned.
  • Document project outcomes and share best practices for future projects.

Key Skills and Competencies:

  • 5+ Years in Similar Profiles as mentioned above
  • Strong project management skills, including planning, scheduling, and risk management.
  • Proficiency in project management tools (e.g., MS Project, Primavera) and ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle).
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Knowledge of manufacturing processes, technologies, and industry standards.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, manufacturing, business administration, or a related field (master’s degree preferred).
  • Proven experience in project management within a manufacturing environment.
