Job Overview

We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented RMG Assistant or Deputy/Manager to support the strategic allocation and optimization of resources across multiple projects. The role involves working closely with the RMG Head to ensure efficient workforce utilization, manage staffing demands, and collaborate with project teams to balance workload and capacity.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in the development and execution of resource management strategies aligned with company goals.
  • Collaborate with the RMG Head to monitor resource availability, skillsets, and project requirements to ensure efficient resource allocation.
  • Partner with department heads and project managers to understand resource requirements and ensure appropriate staffing of projects.
  • Analyze project pipelines, forecast resource needs, and address potential gaps in resource availability.
  • Ensure optimal utilization of resources by managing bench strength and actively identifying opportunities for reallocation.
  • Maintain and update resource management tools and systems for tracking availability, capacity, and utilization.
  • Support recruitment efforts by providing insights into future resource needs and critical skill gaps.
  • Identify and escalate potential resourcing risks and propose mitigation plans.
  • Track and report key resource management metrics (utilization rates, bench strength, etc.) to ensure resource efficiency and address bottlenecks.
  • Provide guidance to junior members of the RMG team and assist with their professional development.

Key Requirements

  • Educational Background: Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Human Resources, or a related field.
  • Experience: 5-7 years of experience in resource management or workforce planning, ideally in an IT or consulting environment.
  • Strong analytical skills with experience in forecasting, data analysis, and resource optimization.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Proficiency in resource management tools (e.g., Excel, MS Project, ERP systems).
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
  • Prior experience in handling staffing issues, bench management, and resource reallocation is a plus.

  • Familiarity with project management methodologies (Agile, Waterfall) and how they impact resource planning.
  • Ability to manage competing priorities and handle multiple projects simultaneously.
