Qualifications and Skills

  • Must have completed MEM training to efficiently handle medical emergencies and provide specialized care (Mandatory skill).
  • Proficiency in critical care and intensive care unit management (ICU) to address patient needs effectively (Mandatory skill).
  • Proven skills in emergency response procedures and the ability to work under pressure in emergency situations (Mandatory skill).
  • Strong foundation in Fellowship in Emergency Medicine (FEM) techniques for comprehensive patient management.
  • Certification in IDCCM is required to ensure thorough knowledge in critical care medicine.
  • Capability to perform under the Diploma in Anesthesiology (DA), ensuring patient safety during procedures.
  • Excellent communication skills to interact with various healthcare professionals and patients.
  • High level of attention to detail and problem-solving skills to provide high-quality patient care efficiently.


Roles and Responsibilities

  • Deliver immediate care and management of patients in acute emergencies as part of the ICU team.
  • Participate in patient assessment, monitoring, and evaluation to improve health outcomes and deliver technical interventions.
  • Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to develop comprehensive treatment plans in the ICU setting.
  • Ensure adherence to clinical guidelines and protocols to maintain patient safety and quality care standards.
  • Engage in regular emergency readiness drills and training to maintain a high level of preparedness for emergencies.
  • Document patient progress accurately and maintain confidential medical records.
  • Provide leadership and support to junior medical staff and contribute to their education and training.
  • Stay updated on the latest advancements in critical care to apply best practices in the workplace.
