Job Overview
We are seeking a Senior Accountant for our Madurai location. This full-time position requires a maximum of 10 years of work experience in financial services. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial statements while overseeing financial reporting, reconciliation, and compliance. Qualifications and Skills
- Internal Controls (Mandatory skill) - Experience in developing and implementing effective internal control systems to enhance the financial integrity of the organization.
- Reconciliations (Mandatory skill) - Expertise in performing detailed reconciliations to ensure accuracy in financial reporting and record keeping.
- Financial Reporting (Mandatory skill) - Proven proficiency in preparing comprehensive financial statements and reports to guide decision-making.
- Account Reconciliation - Skilled in reconciling general ledger accounts, ensuring all transactions are accounted for and discrepancies rectified.
- Tax Compliance - Strong understanding of tax regulations and compliance requirements to manage and prepare accurate tax filings.
- Month-End Close - Experience in managing and executing month-end close processes, ensuring timely and accurate financial representation.
- Budgeting - Competence in preparing and managing budgets, monitoring performance against budget, and conducting variance analysis.
- Attention to Detail - Exceptional ability to focus on precision and accuracy in financial analyses and reports.
Roles and Responsibilities
- Manage the preparation and presentation of financial statements in compliance with corporate guidelines and industry regulations.
- Conduct thorough account reconciliations to maintain data integrity and accuracy across financial systems.
- Ensure compliance with state and federal tax regulations by overseeing tax filing processes and submissions.
- Lead and manage monthly, quarterly, and annual financial close processes to ensure timely reporting.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support budgeting and forecasting activities with insights and analysis.
- Identify areas of financial performance improvement and develop strategic plans to enhance profitability.
- Implement and monitor effective internal control systems to safeguard the organization's financial assets.
- Provide mentorship and guidance to junior accounting staff, fostering a culture of continuous professional development.
