As a Trade Desk Manager at IDFC FIRST Bank, you will be responsible for managing the trade desk operations and driving sales of trade finance products and services. You will work closely with the branch team to identify and acquire new clients, as well as maintain and deepen relationships with existing clients.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage the trade desk operations and ensure smooth and efficient processing of trade finance transactions
- Develop and implement strategies to achieve sales targets and increase market share
- Identify and acquire new clients through various channels such as referrals, networking, and cold calling
- Build and maintain relationships with existing clients to generate repeat business and cross-sell other banking products
- Stay updated on market trends and competition to identify new business opportunities
- Collaborate with the branch team to provide excellent customer service and resolve any client issues or concerns
- Train and mentor junior team members to enhance their knowledge and skills in trade finance products and services
- Prepare and submit reports on trade desk activities, sales performance, and market insights to the branch manager and regional head
- Minimum 5 years of experience in trade desk management in a banking or financial institution
- Strong understanding of trade finance products and services, including letters of credit, bank guarantees, and trade loans
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to build and maintain relationships with clients
- Ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously
- Proven track record of achieving sales targets and building a strong client portfolio
- In-depth knowledge of the local market and industry trends
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, or related field
