Coordination with suppliers and inhouse manufacturing teams for inspection planning, organisiing resources, coordination with third-party inspection agencies as and when required, ensuring timely conduct of inspections and submission of quality documents.
Conducting inspection of raw materials (product categories including sheet metal, castings, forgings, in-process and final inspections of components and assemblies, non-destructive tests, surface preparation and painting inspections, functional and performance tests.
Preparation of inspection and test plans (ITPs), inspection procedures, ensuring their effective implementation for internal manufacturing as well as at suppliers, maintaining quality documentation as per ITP.
Capturing product and process non-conformances, collaborating with cross-functions for driving resolution and root-cause analysis, implementation of corrective actions.
Developing training modules on inspection methods, imparting knowledge sharing sessions and spread awareness on best practices for continual improvement.
