Key Responsibilities
- Design and Planning:
- Develop detailed electrical designs for 33kV transmission lines, including route selection, line configuration, and material specification.
- Conduct load flow and short circuit analysis to ensure the design meets operational and safety standards.
- Collaborate with civil engineers to integrate electrical design with site civil works and structures.
- Installation and Commissioning:
- Supervise the installation of 33kV power lines, substations, and related electrical equipment.
- Coordinate with contractors and ensure adherence to safety standards, quality control, and project timelines.
- Oversee the testing and commissioning of installed systems to verify proper operation and compliance with design specifications.
- Maintenance and Troubleshooting:
- Develop and implement maintenance strategies for the 33kV power lines and associated infrastructure.
- Perform regular inspections and diagnostics to identify and address potential issues before they impact operations.
- Provide technical support and troubleshooting expertise to resolve any electrical faults or outages.
- Compliance and Documentation:
- Ensure all electrical installations comply with local regulations, industry standards, and company policies.
- Prepare and maintain detailed documentation, including design drawings, installation records, maintenance logs, and compliance reports.
- Assist in the preparation of project reports and presentations for stakeholders.
- Collaboration and Communication:
- Work closely with project managers, other engineering disciplines, and external stakeholders to ensure project objectives are met.
- Participate in project meetings, provide technical input, and address any electrical engineering-related issues.
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
- Professional engineering certification (e.g., PE) is preferred.
- Minimum of [7-10] years of experience in electrical engineering, specifically with 33kV transmission lines or similar high-voltage systems.
- Experience with wind power projects and knowledge of wind farm electrical systems is highly desirable.
- Strong understanding of electrical design software and tools.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
- Strong communication and organizational skills.
