Position Summary
We are seeking an experienced Manager, Engineering to lead an engineering team in Pune. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in software development, team leadership, and project management. This role involves guiding and growing engineering teams, delivering complex software systems, and fostering a collaborative and innovative environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Project Planning & Execution: Collaborate with technical, product, and UX leads to plan projects, clarify requirements, and execute development plans to meet contractual timelines.
- Technical Leadership: Drive productive technical design sessions and discussions, ensuring the right people are involved, and that decisions are well documented.
- Team Management: Manage the growth and development of team members through mentoring, coaching, and performance evaluations.
- Quality Assurance: Champion engineering best practices during the course of customer implementations and ensure on-time delivery of high-quality products.
- Stakeholder Communication: Work with implementation project managers to provide updates on progress and risks toward achieving milestones.
- Cultural Advocacy: Live and promote our team values of ownership, innovation, cooperation, and empathy for our customers.
- Experience:
- 8 to 10 years of experience in software development.
- 2–4 years in a managerial role leading and growing engineering teams while delivering complex software systems.
- Technical Skills:
- Proficiency in planning, building, testing, and maintaining complex software applications.
- Familiarity with one or more of the following languages/frameworks: JAVA, React, Golang etc.
- Experience with databases such as RDBMS.
- Knowledge of AWS Cloud Platform.
- Soft Skills:
- Strong ownership mentality and stakeholder management skills.
- Effective communication with cross-functional leaders to drive collaborative problem-solving and decision-making.
- Additional Skills:
- Experience in onboarding, mentoring, and coaching new team members.
- Demonstrated ability to work in a fast-paced, Agile product development environment.
