We deliver acute hospital, primary, community and mental health care services to a population of over 1.15 million and a wider population of 2.2 million when our regional and national services are included.

The shift pattern for this post is Monday to Friday 9am to 5pm.

We are seeking an enthusiastic, dynamic and innovative individual to support nursing leadership at a senior level across GG&C Ophthalmology services.

Ophthalmology is a citywide service spanning 7 sites and currently sits under the South Sector. In this challenging role, you will inspire others and lead by example, fostering a culture of continuous quality improvement which values professional development and strives for excellence in all aspects of the delivery of patient care.

The post holder will collaborate with the senior management team ensuring the achievement of activity, financial, and staff performance targets, as well as maintaining quality standards. Budget and staff management, along with business planning, are integral to this role.

As a registered nurse with a first degree, or equivalent experience, you should possess management expertise gained in the NHS or a similarly complex multidisciplinary public or private sector organisation. We are value strong influencing and leadership qualities along with a proven track record of successful delivery and collaborative work.
