Your Job
We are strengthening our predictive engineering capabilities and are looking for a talented individual with deep background in predictive engineering principles to lead and grow our highly accomplished structural and thermal analysis engineers within the Predictive Engineering Group (PEG). In this role, you will be asked to guide a team to lead new technology development activities as well as apply them directly to influence product design and manufacturing activities through all development phases. You will also be responsible for developing individual team members by aligning their career goals with the value proposition of this group.

What You Will Do
Overall
- Manage and lead the team of structural and thermal CAE engineers that architect, develop, validate, and ultimately own the function performance for TSBU’s products.
- Have a clear understanding of Molex’s PBM philosophy and the RR&Es as a supervisor
- Align PEG’s current and future capabilities with TSBU’s product strategies
- Set clear expectations and create a positive, supportive, and inclusive work environment based on individual accountability
- Promote strong, effective communication and collaboration with our cross-functional, technical, and non-technical partners
- Foster the growth of each team member’s careers by assigning them to projects tailored to their skill levels, long-term goals, personalities, and work styles
- Assign resources, organize, develop, train, and recruit talents for predictive engineering group
- Supervise development of documentation of the project scope, requirements, feasibility, & engineering workplan for the group's projects. Leads resolution of any scope issues.
- Introduce new technologies proactively to PEG when appropriate to support TSBU’s needs
- Manage/Support multiple projects simultaneously. Create / maintain engineering timelines, escalate barriers, and drive projects to completion.
- Communicate technical knowledge and experimental findings in both written and verbal formats to peers, management, and customers in a concise and clear manner
- Some travel, as necessary, may be required.
- Master’s in mechanical engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or equivalent fields
- 10+ years’ experience with predictive engineering in the fields such as CAE, FEA, CFD and Design Optimization
- 2+ years supervising highly skilled employees in the automotive industry
- Experience of developing, validating, and implementing new technologies to existing product development process in the automotive industry
- Demonstrated experience with communicating complex technical concepts and issues clearly to audiences
- Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or equivalent fields
- 10+ years automotive connector design experience
- 5+ years supervising highly skilled employees in the automotive industry
