Job Purpose

Managing project accounting department including contract negotiation, WBS structure based on approved budget, vendor payment & reconciliation, assets capitalisation (including updation of FAR & Physical verification), Tax compliances (GST/Withholding Tax etc), Project closure, MIS and submission of information to internal stakeholder (including regulatory team).

Limited external interaction with EPC / PMC Consultants & Vendors for reconciliation.

Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)

  • Preparation of capex plan and payment schedule in discussion with Project Team.


Accuracy and timelines.

  • Development of WBS structure for Project / Capex (Capacity enhancement) in consultation with Project Team.
  • Monitoring of approved project budget.


Effective WBS structure.

  • Attend contract negotiation meeting (as per DOP).


Better commercial terms.

  • Review of NFA for award of contracts.


Ensure SOP / DOP compliances.

  • Review & Monitoring of –
  • Vendors’ payments
  • Accounting and GL’s review.


Accuracy and timelines.

  • Review & Monitoring of Timely & Accurate MIS to different stakeholders.


Accuracy and timelines.

  • Coordination with the tax compliance team for GST & Withholding Tax.


Accuracy, compliances and timelines.

  • Submission of information to the regulatory team for filing of Consultation Paper.


Accuracy and timelines.

  • Capitalization of assets on completion of various works (Including allocation of indirect cost, updation of FAR & physical verification).


Accuracy and timelines.

  • Preparation / revision in SOP for the project.


Process and internal control

  • Ensuring contract / PO closure as per PO terms.


Ensure SOP / DOP compliances.

  • Ensure compete documentation related to project including capitalization are available in (soft / hard file).

Collaborate closely with various Finance & Accounts verticals and Project Team

FINANCIAL DIMENSIONS

Monitoring of Project Cost (Including Vendor Payment) of around ₹10,000 to ₹12,000 crore projects.

Other Dimensions

Collaborates across cross-functional teams, interfaces with multiple departments including finance, operations, and business planning.

Education Qualifications

  • CA/ MBA (Finance)


Relevant Experience

8-12 years of experience in the aviation sector or Infrastructure industry with a focus on Project Accounting.
