CONSULTANT PHYSICIAN IN RESPIRATORY MEDICINE & GENERAL INTERNAL MEDICINE

Full time available (10 PAs). Part time or job share applications also welcome. Mutually agreed E.P.A.s may be available.

Salary Scale: £111,430 - £148,064 per annum + on-call supplement

Borders General Hospital is a modern and well-equipped 320 bed DGH serving the rural Borders area in South East Scotland, approximately 36 miles from Edinburgh.

The Role

The successful applicant will join two other accredited Respiratory Consultants and two long term locum Consultant colleagues to form one component of the Respiratory team (3.1 wte) and will provide a shared service for all respiratory inpatients and outpatients. In-patient referrals from other teams, on average 3-10 per day, are seen within 24 hours and can be taken over as needed.

You would be expected to contribute to the on call General Medical rota (1:16 frequency for full commitment).

Candidates must hold MRCP or equivalent higher qualification and must also be fully registered and licensed to practice on the Specialist Register for Respiratory Medicine & GIM with the General Council, or within 6 months of obtaining CCT at the time of interview.

A relocation package, up to full Inland Revenue limits, is available for the successful candidate(s).
