ECA Dance Teacher - #957151

We are seeking a passionate and experienced Dance Teacher to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in one or more dance genres such as ballet, contemporary, jazz, hip hop, or ballroom. The Dance Teacher will be responsible for designing and implementing dance curriculums, teaching students of various ages and skill levels, and fostering a positive, inclusive, and motivating environment for students to express themselves through dance.

Responsibilities:

1. Curriculum Development
   
2. Instruction: Teach dance classes to students of various age groups and skill levels, ensuring a safe, inclusive, and positive environment.
   
3. Choreography: Create and teach choreography for class exercises, recitals, competitions, and performances.
   
4. Student Evaluation: Assess student progress through observation and feedback, adjusting teaching strategies to meet individual student needs.
   
5. Performance Preparation: Prepare students for performances, including recitals, competitions, and showcases, ensuring they are confident and stage-ready.
   
6. Classroom Management: Manage the dance studio environment, ensuring it is safe, respectful, and conducive to learning.
   
7. Professional Development: Stay current with the latest dance trends, techniques, and pedagogy through continuing education, workshops, and conferences.
   
8. Parent Communication: Maintain open lines of communication with parents or guardians regarding student progress, class expectations, and upcoming performances.
   

Qualifications:

1. Education: Bachelor’s degree in Dance, Fine Arts, or related field is preferred. Significant experience in dance and teaching may substitute for formal education.
   
2. Experience: Proven experience as a dance instructor in one or more dance genres. Experience in choreographing and preparing students for performances is highly desirable.
   
3. Certification: Relevant certification or membership in professional dance organizations is advantageous.
   
4. Skills: Strong interpersonal and communication skills, creativity in choreography, patience, and dedication to student development.
   
5. Physical Requirements: Ability to demonstrate dance techniques and participate actively in dance sessions
