Objective:DesignEngineer,shallbecapableofreviewing&executingEngineeringActivitiesforcompletedesignofTransmissionLinesTowers,CivilFoundations&AssociatedStructures.

DesignEngineershallworkwithateamofDraughtspersons,PEMstocarryoutactivitiesaspertheEngineeringPlanalignedwiththeprojectanddeliveronscheduleandbudget

KeyResponsibilities:

  • Shallberesponsibleforcollectingall inputs to carryout thedesignactivitiesthatareunder his areaof work.
  • Must becapable of readingthe technicalspecificationandable to identifythedifferentclausesrelatedtoTowerDesignandFoundationDesign.
  • Review andensureoptimum designbeforesubmission to client.
  • Ensurequantitycontrol&optimization ofcivil &structural quantities
  • Interactwith project execution team / vendors forresolvingtheproblem.
  • Witness TowerTestingat DifferenttestBeds
  • PrepareBOQanddesigndocumentswhich arerequiredat pre-Tenderstage.
  • Post award ofJob Submissionandgetapproval for alldesignrelated documents fromClient.
  • Maintainall the EngineeringDocuments as perISOnormssetbythemanagement.

TechnicalExpertise:

  • TechnicalExpertiseinactivitiesofRouteSelection,Profiles,Sag,TensionCharts,designofTransmissionLinetowers,foundations (isolated, pile and combined raft) ,gantrystructures.
  • DesignEngineershallbeabletoreview,designthedetaileddrawingsforTLtowers.
  • Shallbeabletodesignalltypesoffoundations(pad&Chimney/IsolatedFoundation,CombinedFoundation,pilefoundationsetc).
  • Shouldbeaware ofdesigncalculationsaspercodesofdomestic& internationalcodes.
  • ShouldhaveknowledgeonselectingtheTestLoadcasesforTowers.
  • AbletoprepareStringingChartforsite.
  • ConversantwithIndianStandardsandinternationalstandardslikeBS,UBC,ACI,ASCErelatedforTLandFoundationdesign.
  • Shall be able to conduct review of vendor drawings for bought out items

SoftwareSkills Required:

  • ProficiencywithstructuralsoftwarelikePLSTower,STAADPro, PLSPole
  • Excellentin MS officeand workingknowledgeofAuto CADEffectiveComputerSkills, MSOffice, DisciplineSpecific Software's&Applications.
