Job Title: Manager - Project Lifecycle Management

Location : Bangalore


This section focuses on the main purpose of the job in one to four sentences.

The Project Lifecycle Manager is responsible for defining and supporting the building of valuable, feasible, viable and consistent project management standards, governance and practices. The PMO Lifecycle Manager will define the roadmap for maturing the Project Management Practice at Baxter. The PMO Lifecycle Manager works directly with stakeholder teams to understand and communicate their needs into the PMO practice and PMO technology platforms(s) management. The PMO Lifecyle Manager works closely with business stakeholders and to define how the PMO can enable business processes and drive KPI improvement.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

This section contains primary responsibilities of this role. The incumbent will perform other duties assigned.

  • Strategic Planning: Set plans and goals for the PMO Practice and for their teams, constantly communicate and build consensus with stakeholders (Business and IT) to meet the established outcomes.
  • Employ design thinking methodology and tools to research business and customer needs to understand the user persona and define and design intuitive and advantageous solutions based on user-centric empathy.
  • Drive adoption of the PMO governance, standards and practice from idea to project closure.
  • Lead in developing and maintaining PMO process governance with the goal to harmonize processes and the underlying system solution(s), globally.
  • Innovate: research and drive the development and adoption of next generation Project Management (Agile, Waterfall, Hybrid, etc) practices
  • Develop and deliver effective project lifecycle management processes and training, identifying areas of transformation and continuous improvement
  • Champion change: promote and drive the change and new ways of working.
  • Understand and integrate non-functional requirements: data privacy considerations, security, regulatory
  • Work with the technical architects and engineers to define technical solutions and enablers in line with functional and non-functional requirements and the process flows defined
  • Report progress and status in terms of business and customer outcomes to make work visible
  • Support internal change management teams to drive adoption and deliver a strong, mature project management practice.
  • Leverage survey results, interviews with users and data/analytics and insights to continuously improve our PMO practice.
  • Define and execute training curriculum for all the Baxter Project Managers.
  • Define and maintain the SOP's for all the Baxter Project Managers in terms of project execution.
  • Own PMO related applications

  • Bachelor's degree with more than 7+ years of experience in digital/technical products/projects -
  • 5+ years of experience in Project Lifecycle Management and PMO related activities with strong knowledge of project management processes.
  • Technical Acumen to convey and collaborate around the development of the desired functionality particularly with cloud applications prior experience or ability to learn architecture and configuration principles
  • Strong understanding and working experience with Agile approach and culture
  • Ability to work with multiple geographies in a multicultural environment
  • Excellent written and oral communications skills
  • Ability and maturity to manage Senior Level Stakeholders globally, regionally and locally
  • Experience in working in Regulated Environments
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) Certification is a plus
  • SCM Scrum Certification is a plus
  • Excellent critical thinking, problem solving, negotiation and business acumen skills,
