Skills
- 5+ Years of relevant experience in software industry.
- Proficiency in release management tools and version control systems.
- Excellent organisational and time management abilities.
- Ability to work collaboratively with diverse teams and stakeholders.
- Attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality releases.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Knowledge of software development lifecycle and best practices.
- Experience with agile methodologies is preferred.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
- Prior experience in handling QA and Program Management activities will be an added advantage.
- The ideal candidate should possess a foundational knowledge of programming languages, algorithms, and DevOps tools.
Responsibilities
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Release Planning: Work closely with cross-functional teams to create and execute release plans. This includes defining release schedules, coordinating resource allocation, and managing dependencies.
- Version Control: Maintain a robust version control system, ensuring that all development artifacts are properly tracked and managed.
- Release Execution: Lead the release process, coordinating with developers, testers, and other stakeholders. Ensure that releases are deployed smoothly and meet the defined criteria.
- Quality Assurance: Collaborate with the quality assurance team to establish and implement rigorous testing procedures. Review test results and address any issues or bugs before the release.
- Documentation: Create and update comprehensive release documentation, including release notes, user guides, and technical specifications.
- Communication: Serve as the primary point of contact for release-related communications. Keep all relevant parties informed about release progress, timelines, and any critical updates.
- Risk Management: Identify and mitigate potential risks associated with releases. Develop contingency plans to address unforeseen challenges.
- Post-Release Support: Provide post-release support, monitor system performance, and address any issues reported by users.
- Continuous Improvement: Analyse release data and user feedback to identify areas for process improvement. Propose and implement strategies to enhance the release process.
